Dear Writers,

Please note that we cannot confirm dates until we receive the Artswords Newsletter on the 1st day of each month, so we really appreciate your patience. Just a reminder that the Artwords Writer's Kitchen and Artswords Writer's Cafe now cost £2 per session, but grants are available for those who cannot afford the costs.

Artswords Newsletter for November 2024 will hopefully be sent to yourselves shortly, we are waiting for a copy to be sent through to WoW email. Once received, I will forward it on.

Here's your weekly update:

This week's Extra Task:

The evil laugh can be heard from several doors away.

Sneaky peek at next Week's Tasks:
If I were: A Bonfire party snack.
Main Task: Acrostic Poetry - FIREWORK. Acrostic Poetry is when you take any word, then place each letter of the word on a new line so the word is spelt out going down the page, then next to each letter you start a new sentence with the letter shown, for example: F could stand for Full of surprises or Frightfully fun evening or Fun, you can use a sentence, a few words or even one word. but the theme of the word will need to relate to FIREWORK.

DATES TO REMEMBER:
Tuesday 12th November - 7pm
An Introduction to Life Writing - a talk by Dr Kate Kennedy from the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing.
The talk will be followed by questions and discussion and should prove invaluable for anyone interested in autobiographies, memoir, poetry, song, and any way in which they may write about their own life.

Please watch this space for further information which we will bring to you in a few weeks time.

New Email

Finally, we have moved over to a new email, which Penni, Sarah and Anna can all access, so we can easily share the admin. Please use the email:-
WOWcreativewriting@gmail.com
From now on for everything to do with the Group.

Happy writing everyone!
