As a kitchen is to a cafe, so the Writers’ Kitchen is to the Writers’ Cafe. In the Kitchen we look at ingredients, writing recipes, and methods. Among the questions we ask in the Kitchen are these.
How can writers best produce a good experience for readers? What constitutes 'creative writing'?
Do we need to make every word work? How carefully should we use punctuation, paragraphs, parenthesis, etc.? So many questions, and so much to learn, from one another. Let’s do it!

In Storms and Silver Hands, storyteller Hannah Moore weaves the fairy tale of The Handless Maiden with true and traditional stories from around the world – stories that can make us wonder at our human capacity for restoration, empowerment, agency and hope. This dark and starry adventure considers what it means - out of the soil of troubled times - to grow back wild and full of wonder, and explores the themes of power, repair, aid and regrowth. An evening of tales and songs, and questions for the nightingales in the branches of your heart.
