Please note that we cannot confirm Artswords dates until we receive Artswords Newsletter on the 1st day of each month, so we really appreciate your patience.  Just a reminder that the Artswords Writer's Kitchen and Artswords Writer's Cafe now cost £2 per session, but grants are available for those who cannot afford the costs.

After using one of the prompts below in your Main Task story, select another option to expand your current story.  If one of the prompts below inspires you to create your own prompt, that's great, as you can use this.

If I were: A scene in a story, what/where would I be?
Main Task: Scene Setting - Now you have your characters, include them in a scene.  Write a paragraph describing the scene they are in.  If you wish to include dialogue, you can.

Speaking with Care - This is a women-only event
When: Original start date was Saturday 21st February 2026 onwards, every other Saturday, see dates below.
Where: Ridgeway Rise Care Home, 40 Richardson Road, Blunsdon Saint Andrew, SN25 4DS
Time: 3pm to 4pm
Cost:  FREE

A gentle speaking circle where women build confidence at their own pace, while sharing meaningful moments with care home residents.  Speaking with Care is a confidence-building speaking circle for women, hosted in partnership with Care Homes.  Hosted by the Works 360 Foundation.

I've added the dates for May, and June, please remember to book, otherwise you won't be able to read out.
