America's last Squirrel has just been stuffed and mounted for the Smithsonian Display next to the long extinct Carrier Pigeon. TASK: As a Museum Tour Guide of the Smithsonian, describe the events leading to the species extinction.

NEW - Open Mic Poetry Evening - Poetry in the Pub - Old Town Wednesday 27th May 7.30pm An evening of Poems and good company, presented in association with Poetry Swindon, hosted by Maurice Spillane and Tony Hillier. The 33rd Swindon Festival of Literature The event is well underway, and Penni, and myself would firstly like to thank everyone who read their work out on Wednesday at the Open Mic session that was held upstairs at the Hub in the afternoon.
It can be daunting reading in front of people, and you were all amazing, and did really well. A special thank you to Tony Hillier for being the Compere of the event, and reading poems out from the wonderful books he brought with him, they were truly beautiful. If you still haven't booked some of the events, you need to be quick as some are already sold out.
Speaking with Care - This is a women-only event
When: 23rd May, 06th June, 20th Jun, 04th July, 18th July 2026 and so on every other week.

A gentle speaking circle where women build confidence at their own pace, while sharing meaningful moments with care home residents. Speaking with Care is a confidence-building speaking circle for women, hosted in partnership with Care Homes. Hosted by the Works 360 Foundation. Please remember to book, otherwise you won't be able to read out.
