Dear Writers,

I am currently in the process of compiling a What's On email, this is taking time, as I'm trying to include as many writing inspired places to go as possible.

Please note that we cannot confirm Artswords dates until we receive Artswords Newsletter on the 1st day of each month, so we really appreciate your patience. Just a reminder that the Artswords Writer's Kitchen and Artswords Writer's Cafe now cost £2 per session, but grants are available for those who cannot afford the costs.

Here's your weekly update:

This week's Extra Task:
Write a love letter to a friend, family member, a pet, or someone who has helped you through difficult times, maybe send them a thank you letter as that's also sent with love.

Sneaky peek at next Week's Tasks:

If I were: A pencil, pen, or laptop that could talk, what would it say to you about your stories?
Main Task: Swindon Writing IV Submissions - Once a month until the end of May when your writing submissions are due, we want to give you a space where you can come up with ideas of what to write, Penni and myself have a lot of prompts if you are struggling, and Story Dice to help you as well. If you are already writing your piece, bring it along and continue it in the session.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE DIARY:

Write Along Tuesday, (W.A.T) - Central Library, Downstairs
If you are free between 1pm to 2.30pm on a Tuesday, and you are in town, why not join Penni, (Co-Facilitator, Words on Wednesday), for a different style of writing group, by bringing along your own writing projects you are working on.

This is a wonderful time to write with others, rather than by yourself. When writing with other people, you can garner ideas, and help with your writing if you feel stuck. It can be better to write in a group rather than by yourself.

This will only be taking place until February half term, and after that if people are not attending it will be CANCELLED after this time.

We are now in February 2026, and it won't be long until we are in May - SWINDON FESTIVAL OF LITERATURE. Make sure you put these dates in your diary: Monday 4th May to Sunday 10th May 2026 - we will provide more information nearer the time.

Happy writing everyone!
